A must-try recipe

If you love banana bread like I do, this recipe is a must-try. I found it from another blogger, who had found it in a magazine. Supposedly it's Amy Grant's Grandma's recipe.

Grandma Grant's Banana Bread
1 cup sugar
1 stick softened butter
2 eggs
3 bananas, sliced
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and butter. Mix in remaining ingredients, and pour into a greased loaf pan. Place pan in a cold oven. Set oven to 300*F and bake 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes then remove from pan and cool completely.

Easy, easy, easy, and soooo good! I should have taken a picture, but honestly, it didn't last very long! Reed loved it as much as I did. We both agree that next time we'll have to add chocolate chips. Enjoy!
